Ringing CHIMES
Chapter 4 makes the connection to many educators and the need to race against time to meet all the standards. I am exhausted after the day, trying to speak, teach and check for understanding all within thirty minute increments. Dr. Burmak understands and explains the expectations imposed on teachers. Unfortunetly, we live in a sink or swim mindframe. In this chapter it discusses how to be effective in a presentation and most importantly to gain the audiences attention and the retention of the material. Dr. Burmak makes it a point to use herself as an example for the reader to make the connection.
